Web Bill Pay & Debit/Credit Card Payments

The Village of Forrest will be offering web bill pay as well as debit/credit card payments. You can come into the office to pay your bill or go online. There is a minimum fee to use this service. Pay Location Code # a000za

Baseball Diamond / Baseball Field Usage

Anyone wanting to use the Baseball Diamond/Field needs to call the village office to reserve it.

Hampsher Hotel Lunch/Brunch

The Historical Society is again hosting Lunch/Brunch at the Hotel on the second Tuesday of each month. These lunches will be held on the following dates: May 9th, June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th, and October 10th. There is a donation of $12.00 per person to attend. Contact Joyce Gulliford to make reservations at 815/657-7548. You can also enjoy browsing at the ‘Inspired’ gift shop in the Hampsher Hotel while there.

Dumpster Rentals

The Village of Forrest has 2 cubic yard dumpsters to rent. You will need to contact Lori in the office to fill out the rental agreement. Rental fee is $20.00 per dump minimum. Dumpster Rentals are for Forrest Residents living inside city limits.


Register your golf carts during Village office hours Monday–Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. You will need to bring golf cart and proof of insurance with you.

Village Notice

The October 2017 meeting will still be on the 2nd Thursday of the month.

Beginning November 1, 2017: The Village Board meets on the second Monday of each month. Meeting dates are posted at the Village office and the Community Board at the Library.

Upcoming dates are 11/13/17, 12/11/17, 1/8/18, 2/12/18, 3/12/18, 4/9/18 and Annual Meeting 4/23/18.

The Beginning of a Village

The Village of Forrest, Illinois is located at the junction of US Route 24 and Illinois Route 47. Forrest was named in honor of a Mr. Forrest of New York City, the business partner of Mr. Frost, President of the T.P.W. Railroad at the time of incorporation in 1890.
