It is that time of year again. Yard Waste fires will be limited to burning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Under no conditions will a fire be allowed to burn or smolder from the period of sundown to sunrise as this time is defined/reported by the National Weather Service. If you choose not to burn, Village employees will pick up bagged leaves, sticks and grass on Thursdays. Thank you for your cooperation.
It is important so the village employees can schedule a time to install the new meter.

Web Bill Pay & Debit/Credit Card Payments
We accept web bill pay as well as debit/credit card payments. Come into the office to pay your bill or go online. There is a minimum fee to use this service.

The Village of Forrest has 2 cubic yard dumpsters for rental to Forrest Residents living inside city limits. Rental fee is $25.00 per dump minimum and $40.00 per dump minimum for shingles/building projects; contact Lori in the office to fill out the rental agreement.

The Village Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 323 S Williams St (Old Catholic Church). Meeting dates are posted at the Village office, the Community Board at the Library and the Post Office. Upcoming dates:

The Village of Forrest, Illinois is located at the junction of US Route 24 and Illinois Route 47. Forrest was named in honor of a Mr. Forrest of New York City, the business partner of Mr. Frost, President of the T.P.W. Railroad at the time of incorporation in 1890.
